Interior Design & High-End Furniture Internship in Australia

The role

The intern will work across a broad scope combining design, professional relations and showroom life.

🔹 Design and graphic production
Producing 2D technical drawings, elevations and 3D renderings for furniture and interior design projects
Taking part in designing and adapting bespoke pieces inspired by classic models
Creating moodboards and boards of materials, finishes and colours

🔹 Client and professional partner relations
Welcoming and assisting decorators, architects and clients in the showroom
Contacting architecture firms to present the collections and organise visits
Preparing client presentations and taking part in site visits with the team

🔹 Document management and logistics
Organising and updating the library of fabrics, materials and suppliers
Managing the technical catalogues for the lighting collections
Contributing to the professional catalogue and the sales kit for decorators
Organising the photo library and project files

🔹 Marketing and showroom
Occasional participation in content creation (blog, newsletter, social media) when the topic relates to design
Helping stage and style the showroom

A house specialising in high-end, European-inspired furniture and interior decoration, based in Sydney. The organisation designs, adapts and distributes bespoke pieces as well as lighting collections to private clients and industry professionals (interior architects, decorators, architecture firms).The human-sized team works in the showroom and workshop, in an environment where design, craftsmanship and client relations come together.

Student in interior design, interior architecture, architecture or furniture and product design, with a minimum of 3 years of higher education (master's or final year of bachelor's ideally)Good command of AutoCAD or equivalent 2D drawing software, and SketchUpProficiency in 3D rendering software (V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, D5 or equivalent) is a plusGood command of the Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and comfortable on a Mac environmentClient-facing skills and a well-groomed appearance, autonomy and organisational skillsGood level of English, a third language (French, Italian or Spanish) is a plusPersonal health insurance to be arranged, not provided by the company
