Sourcing Internship in Los Angeles

The role

As a sourcing intern, the intern will have the opportunity to work with our in-house databases, various types of software, project management, linguist recruitment and the development of negotiation skills, as well as processing linguist-related information.

This position involves in-depth research on the Internet, social media, professional organisations and other sources to identify, contact and recruit linguists around the world, for assignments in a wide variety of languages and with diverse technical requirements.

The intern will receive hands-on training in the daily functions of the sourcing department, including vendor recruitment, selection and management systems, database maintenance, and project management support for large orders coming from the sales team. They will also gain experience with our operational software, data entry, and the handling of specific sourcing requests.

During their time in the department, the intern will be trained in using and updating our proprietary vendor database, as well as other software essential to our industry. These tools ensure consistency, organisation and reliability in the relationships between our vendors and our clients.

As an ISO-certified organisation, we provide highly structured and documented training covering every aspect of the work carried out by our interns. The intern will begin by shadowing the department manager in their daily duties while receiving training on the tools used. They will be exposed to the entire recruitment and onboarding process for language vendors, the databases used to manage them, and the selection of vendors for specific assignments.

Daily supervision is provided on all aspects of the training. At the end of each phase (or as required by the university or sponsoring organisation), an evaluation form will be completed to measure the intern's mastery of skills and performance.
