Description
The role
-Design and drafting: floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, renderings and client presentations
-Client and supplier coordination: purchasing, order tracking, quotes and logistics
-On-site experience: measurements, documenting progress, support during installations and meetings
-Research and sourcing: exploring trends, suppliers and materials
-Showroom visits: sourcing at the D&D Building, NYDC and other design centres
-Styling and photo preparation: assistance with staging and preparing shoots
-Administrative support: helping designers with meetings, errands and project support
The company
This Brooklyn-based interior design company works with clients in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Hawaii and beyond. We believe internships should be enriching, not repetitive. You will not spend your days organising fabric samples or doing repetitive CAD work. Instead, you will take part in real design projects, from concept to execution, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-end studio.
The benefits
Operating expenses (transport, meals, etc. on in-person days), around $500 to $700/month.
