IT & Cybersecurity Internship (Infrastructure & Web Security) in Toronto

The role

The intern will join the IT team to support the technical infrastructure and system security.

🔹 Infrastructure & IT Support

Managing and maintaining IT hardware (Mac & Windows)

Supporting VoIP systems, network equipment and printers

Technical support for employees (on site & remote)

Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues

🔹 Cloud & Data Management

Organising and managing cloud solutions (Google Drive, OneDrive)

Optimising secure storage and user access

Managing automatic backups and testing disaster recovery plans

🔹 Security & Cybersecurity

Monitoring and optimising website security (WordPress or other CMS)

Setting up and managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF)

Configuring and maintaining the firewall (pfSense, Fortinet, Cisco or UTM)

Carrying out vulnerability audits

Applying recommendations in line with NIST standards

Managing security patches (patch management)
