Purchasing & Inventory Management Internship – Hospitality in Brussels

The role

The intern will join the Purchasing department, under the supervision of the Purchasing Director, and take part in managing orders, stock and supplier relations.
Order and supplier management

Centralising the needs of the various departments and placing orders with suppliers
Processing urgent orders and monitoring deliveries
Checking deliveries, reporting anomalies and managing returns
Taking part in structuring calls for tender where applicable

Stock and flow management

Managing and monitoring stock, restocking on time
Controlling the flow of goods between the store and the various departments
Carrying out and checking inventories
Coordinating with storekeepers and production teams

Analysis and reporting

Centralising and processing data on goods flows, consumption and food sales
Analysing losses, identifying errors and anomalies, proposing solutions
Monitoring statistics and calculating cost prices
Passing information on to the relevant managers
